In her works, the poet Annette von Droste-Hülshoff shows a deep engagement with dark, existential themes. She thematises suffering and transience and shows a tension between the beauty of the world and an inner turmoil. The well-known philosopher of religion Hanna-Barbara Gerl-Falkovitz will be focussing on the poet and her work.
